Ten Pounds
by Chris Uy on August 10th, 2006
Today, the scale confirmed that I've lost ten pounds since I got back from my honeymoon. I'm ahead of schedule and a little surprised as it has only been four and a half weeks since we got back. But it sure feels like longer than that considering the increase in training volume and the decrease in food intake! It's been a constant daily struggle, that's for sure.
Full Speed A(t) Hed

Many towns have their claim to fame and local big business headquarters. For the Twin Cities, those headquarters include Target, 3M, and Hed.

Okay, I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

by Joseph Vinciquerra on July 31st, 2006
A favorite comedian of mine once said: "There's a fine line between fishing, and standing on the shore looking like an idiot." Not being much of a fisherman myself, I still find this ironically funny as I contrast it to our behavior as triathletes (if you're not a card-carrying alpha-complex club member, I apologize for being presumptuous with the use of the words "our behavior") where we o

On Being a Mom
by Mary Eggers on May 20th, 2006
The only thing cooler than being a Mom, is being a Triathlete Mom. When we got pregnant I was told that I'd never race again, and that my winning days were over. Well, since November 9, 2000 all of my best races, including two Ironmans, and a Hawaii qualification have happened. So much for THAT!
Coming out of the Woods
by Mary Eggers on May 1st, 2006
Crunch... crunch... crunch...
Inhale..... Exhale .... Inhale... exhale......
The sound, the feeling, the rhythm of running. It's been lost to me for over three months, but now I am able to experience it again. This time it is much, much different.
Rebuilding from the Inside Out
by Mary Eggers on February 9th, 2006
Week three of rehabilitation and things are well. I still wear the toe to knee boot on my left leg, I have graduated from crutches and I am even permitted to swim, cycle and practice yoga with two feet. Two weeks of one legged cycling for four hours was interesting. I have absolutely no pain except when I squeeze my Achilles tendon with my fingers, and even that is 50% less.
