XTERRA WINTER HEADED TO EUROPE Former XTERRA World Champ and two-time ITU Winter Triathlon World Champ Nicolas Lebrun will serve as the race director for the inaugural XTERRA Winter European Championship to be held January 17 in Chabanon, France.

Ruben Ruzafa and Julie Dibens grabbed the headlines for winning the pro divisions of the XTERRA World Championship on Oct. 26, but there were also 24 amateur athletes that won world titles that day. The U.S. boasted the most champs with 12, followed by Austria with three, the United Kingdom and Germany with two, and one each from France, New Zealand, Switzerland, Australia, and Canada.

INCLINE VILLAGE, NV – Inspired by 5-time XTERRA USA Champ and now cancer-stricken athlete Jamie Whitmore - Canadians Mike Vine and Melanie McQuaid powered their way through a chilly morning and grueling course to win the eighth annual XTERRA USA Championship on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe this afternoon.

BEND, OR (September 27, 2008) - Several hundred athletes from 21 states gathered at the upscale Old Mill District in Bend today for the fourth annual XTERRA Trail Running National Championship on an incredibly beautiful, crisp and clear morning along the Deschutes River.

2005 XTERRA World Champ Nicolas Lebrun won his third XTERRA Championship race in as many weeks - this time in his home country - and secured his third consecutive XTERRA European Tour Championship title in the process. With pros counting their best four scores in six events, Lebrun has three wins and a 2nd and with just two races left, no one can do better than that.
