I finished a 1/2 marathon a couple of months ago and now eyeballing a full in February. I really want to start training for my first ever sprint but should I wait until after the marathon?

I am 17 straight out of high school, I did my first triathlon in Pulaski, TN. 1:01 for a sprint tri (200yd-12M-3m) I did beat my goal, but felt like I could move it up in the distance. I still haven't gotten a bike, I browed one for that race. I pla His strength and much love :)
