Question about IM Cancun 70.3
by Ironmom on October 10th, 2009
On another board, someone was saying that IM Cancun 70.3 had a 14.8 mile run course instead of 13.1 . The race website says 2 loops of a 6.6 mile mile circuit. I can't imagine why a 70.3 would change the length of the race - anyone know if that is true or not??

Ironman Brand
by jwillia852 on September 17th, 2009
On a pure business standpoint, why doesn't Ironman slap their branding onto Olympic or even select sprint distance races to create a broader Ironman series?
I understand protecting the brand and the exclusivity of the big event, but they do brand the 70.3 races which technically aren't Ironman races.

Just a quick note to all the members of the Trifuel community.
I finished my first race (sprint) this weekend. In doing so, i learned a few things about myself, as well as my standing as a triathlete.

70.3 Rhode Island vs Eagleman
by jwillia852 on July 21st, 2009
Based on overall experience, ease of lodging/transportation, and spectator 'services' can any of you offer any insight or recommendations to which race you all prefer? One of these will be my first HIM (registration opens in two weeks for Eagleman), and I am trying to figure it all out so I can plan the year.
Thank You!

Diamond Girl PA RR
by prendergi on June 15th, 2009
Diamond Girl is a race series that has four triathlons - one in NJ, Delaware, NY and PA. If you compete in all of them you earn points and whoever has the most points wins some money. The distance for this one was 400/10/2.

Swimmer's Shoulder - coming race strategy
by cjhoffmn on June 8th, 2009
Amongst other challenges I've faced this season (lower back, priformus, and IT Band) I've now noticed that I've got some inflammation and impingement in my right (strong side) shoulder from swimming.

Profile Design Miami International Triathlon

Profile Design Miami International Triathlon was my first “real” race of the season – I didn’t exactly have a goal set but did have certain expectations in mind. I thought I’d treat it as a test race to find out how effective my off season training was. I had lots of things to try out including a new swim technique and a new bike.

This is the first time I did this race but I was told before that it's a well-organized one. I arrived at the park at around 6:00 AM and there already was a good crowd of people and there was plenty of volunteers guiding cars to appropriate parking locations.
