I have a pair of these on my training wheels because they were dirt cheap and matched my bike color ($45 on ebay for the dark blues). Went out for a nice calm 50 mile yesterday in the rain and immediately wished I still had my giro twix tubies (the rear is in the shop with a trashed hub). Sliding all over the place on corners but managed to hang on through 25 miles.

I spent last week in Cape May, NJ on vacation with my family. We met up with 4 other families there including one of my friends who moved away to the midwest - haven't seen him in about 2 years. Going back about 7 years ago, he used to kick my *** on the bike, so I was keen to see how we'd ride together now that I've spent the last year training. To tri or not to tri - that's not a question at all!

Well, I was contemplating skipping my lunchtime ride and subing it into an evening ride, until I looked outside and saw that it will be rather rough with a large storm front building and coming in out general direction.
