Detour Activity Bars

Detour was kind enough to send me some complimentary Detour Activity Bars to sample and review. They wanted me to taste test them in a week and then write a review. I don't use these type of bars everyday so it took me a while to try them all.

They provided me with three types of bars, RUNNER, CORE STRENGTH and BIKER. The manufacturer claims they are formulated for the specific type of activity. Details about the Nutrional and Product information can be found on their website www.detourbar.com

Each of these were in several flavors.
RUNNER was offered in Chocolate Peanut Butter, Lemon Yogurt, and Chocolate Chip Cookie.
CORE STRENGTH was offered in Caramel Peanut, and Chocolate Caramel.
BIKER was offered in Toffee Almond, Raspberry Dark Chocolate, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Overall-
I tried each of the flavors, and I found them to be good tasting, and not too heavy. As noted they are a good variety of sweet flavors, which I am okay with. They also have a nice crunchy texture and consistancy like a cereal bar. They caused no GI issues for me and digested well.

Specifically-
RUNNER Chocolate Peanut Butter was my favorite. I like that combination flavor.
RUNNER Lemon Yogurt I was not sure of initially. It had a slightly bitter tangy taste, but no aftertaste. The second time around I liked it because I knew what to expect. It was not overly sweet and it was a light flavor.
RUNNER Chocolate Chip Cookie certainly tasted like what it was named for. Good chocolatey flavor.

CORE STRENGTH Caramel Peanut was a good flavor combo, but I love peanuts. Tasty caramel
CORE STRENGTH Chocolate Caramel had the caramel flavor again, this time teamed with chocolate. Very yummy.

BIKER Toffee Almond had a nice rich, but not too sweet, toffee taste. I wish I had more of these.
BIKER Raspberry Dark Chocolate had a nice fruity chocolatey flavor. I liked this one a lot.
BIKER Chocolate Peanut Butter was just like the RUNNER bar of the same flavor.

I also let my kids try them and they thought they were tasty too so I will have to hide these in the future.

I don't know the pricing since they were samples.
