2 month recovery?
Control the caloric intake if you are worried about weight loss (primary), if you can workout, do so below AeT and listen to the body. Rest/sleep etc. is also key. By working out below the AeT you will maximize the fat burning engine and also raise your metabolism thus, be more efficient at burning fat during workouts and you will be less tired than if you do higher intensity stuff.

sounds like you need a break from the intensity...you probably would benefit from some extra sleep too...VMI's a challenging place!
BBB's suggestion of low intensity stuff seems like a good one to maintain your fitness without the burnout...juts keep it fun and loose until you get refocused to "train" again.

I did the full Vineman Iron-distance race on Aug 4. I had about a week off and then went to the Army's Mountain Warfare school, which is pretty physically demandind. In fact I lost about 4 pounds off my Ironman fitness level.
After that 3 week school, I came straight back to military college, where I am now. I get about 6-7 hours of sleep at night and try to work out in the afternoons. Like i said though, I just feel exhausted. I dont know if its just a motivation problem, or i really am not recovered. I am used to being tired, but this is different. Its like training is the last thing i want to do.
On the other hand, I dont want to just sit around because I was blessed with fat-storing genes, and I will gain weight like crazy, but I seem to be stuck.
Am I just using this as a cop-out to be lazy? Or should I take a break? any thoughts?
