Buying a new bike
TriOnLife posted 48 weeks ago.
I have a Specialized Ruby Comp which is the low end, women's specific model (with 105 instead of dura-ace and less pricey wheels). I love it - love it. It rides like a dream.
I have not yet put clip on aero bars on it but I probably will next year when I start doing HIMs. Another woman in my club has the Ruby Pro (with the dura ace components and nicer wheels) and she has clip on aero bars on her bike and she loves it.
My bike is all carbon. Have you looked at the Tarmac Pro?
Also - your LBS can get you a $3700 bike for $1800?? That is beyond a sweet deal.

I am looking at the Specialized Allez Pro http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=21908. I am curious to how it rides and if it would hold up to some serious distance rides. Also, if anyone else has put aero bars on a bike like this or a different wheel set. The wheel set seems like it would catch alot of air. The components are top of the line but I don't know about the partial aluminum frame. Also LBS can get me one for about 1800$ so heck of a deal for the components on the bike.
