The Ironman folks send out email with the dates and times. I think you can signup for their announcements on the ironman.com site.

It's not a subscription channel. I don't have any extra's for direct TV and was able to watch it yesterday.

it's standard Direct TV package, was ch. 608, they just moved to 603.

The series begins this Sunday with the exciting coverage of Ford Ironman Arizona, a race that has provided a sneak preview of future Ironman champions in the past. Faris Al-Sultan claimed his first Ironman title in Arizona before becoming the Ford Ironman World Champion in 2005.
