I just finished my first tri. WOW what fun. My wife said I looked high :D. Now that I am hooked I want to compete in more. So, I have some questions about gear. I have a really nice mountain bike but it doesnt do me much good against road bikes. This leads me to my first question. What is a good inexpensive road bike? I am looking to buy just the frame and build it my self. It is more of a project then something I need right away. I figured until I build it I will continue to use my MNT bike. Second question, I am thinking of doing a tri in Mexico. It will be an open water swim. Is there any specific wet suit I should look for? I have done some scuba diving so I have a 7mm wet suit. I think it might be a bit much for this tri in Mexico. The wet suit is a farmer john style. That means the top is seperate from the bottom. Thanks again for your advice.
