Any one doing Caesar Creek International
Yup,
It's big! 12-24% grade, 500 meters or so, straight for 400, dog leg left, where it gets steeper. Followed by 200 meters of 6-8% grade, then the course starts rolling.

Good, Now I can see if my hill work will pay off :) Or maybe I'll have to walk but I hope not. I'll just think like "Lance"

I thought about going to watch caesars. I'm a newbie and just wanted to get a feel for it. my first one is going to be buckeye lake i'm hoping. we'll see if i survive that long.
[COLOR=Red]We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. :p
Come on Down!!!!
The bad news ( sort of ), is that the "Beast" is NOT on the course this weekend. It seems that some road construction has closed that part of the course. The Sprint Folks get a 32K ride instead of 20K too.
So, the big hill is a hill that I climb at least once a week! It's still a big hill, but it's not as steep as the "Beast".
I'll ride with the Carbon Wheels, and I may use the disk if it's not windy. But, I will lower the tire pressure, and I plan on spending more time in the left tire track, where the road surface is much smoother.

BP, You should if you get the chance come on down. HFP really puts on a good race.
Oh well about the monster hill I guess I'll just have to suffer with the smaller hill ;)

Final Update on the Course... It seems ODOT has fixed the road, and the 'Beast' is back in the course. In other words, the course is back to the original course!!!
We'll enjoy the Beast and the Weather this weekend.

Yea for the Beast...I think :) It looks like it is going to be nice weather wise and so it will be a great race.

Hey all and hope you are having a great holiday weekend! Is anyone doing the Caesar Creek HPF Race next weekend? Just wondering. It should be a good one I hear from sources (Great Grayhound) that it has a monster hill.
