Rocktape or Compression Socks

by Tribro on September 8, 2009

With all the buzz today about Ironman banning compression socks, I went looking for alternatives. As it happens, an old buddy of mine from MTBR days recently started a company called Rocktape. I asked him to send me a little info on Rocktape and if possible a discount for Trifuel members.

Discount code: 'trifuel' for 10% off.

Rocktape is great for triathletes or any athlete that is concerned about fatigue.

Similar to compression socks, Rocktape promotes blood flow and lactic acid removal while reducing muscle vibration. But unlike socks, Rocktape can be applied so it does not cover calf numbers or other race markings. It stretches just like skin and can be applied to hard to reach areas such as joints, shoulders and knees.

The company, in conjunction with Dr. Steve Capobianco, has also developed the PowerTaping Protocol, which connects and stimulates sport-specific muscle groups to promote power and endurance. The company will be publishing a manual and supporting videos within the next 30 days.

You can learn more about the product and see applications in use on their site:
http://rocktape.com/

Bonus:
Use promotion code: trifuel at check for 10% off. BTW, a roll of the tape is $20.
