Endurance Nation Camp Intro

With the move to on-site registration at NAS events, most athletes now need to attend the race in order to register for next year’s event. Since you will probably be solo, and we will already be in town to support our athletes, we figured why not cook up something that lets you connect to other athletes, gives you quality IM guidance, and helps you to gain a better understanding of your goal race? In addition to the schedule below, you’ll also be tapping into our knowledge of IMMoo: for FREE!

Friday

8:00 am: OW swim clinic on the course, then join Rich and Patrick as they deliver their Four Keys Pre-Race Talk to their Team and other athletes. Next, Rich and Patrick will conduct a “chalk-talk” of the course, identifying key terrain and other tips before you ride the course yourself, at your pace. Finally, the Coaches will debrief the ride everyone over dinner, time and location TBD.

Saturday

8:00 am: Meet over coffee to discuss Ironman training. We will lay out how you should be thinking about your next 366 days until your goal race. Next, you’ll do a self-supported ride (up to 112 miles) plus a 4 to 6-mile brick run. Over dinner the coaches will lead a discussion on advanced Ironman racing topics: power, pace, pedal pressure, nutrition, hydration, etc.

Sunday

Race Day! We will all do some flavor of spectating, volunteering, cheering and training. Exact plan is TBD, based on the needs and schedule of the participants.

Monday

You will wake up stoopid early to get in line to register. We’ll join you (later) to walk the line, chat up our Team, etc. Afterwards, pleases join us for lunch with our Team as they all tell us their war stories!

Not included

All lodging, meals, transportation are not included. All training is self-supported. Hey, it’s a free camp!
