hey just wanted to put this out there, my dad ( who is a baker, runs his own little bakery in the High Sierras ), is starting a line of training/performance food. i've been taking these guys to adventure races and people LOVE them. of course, if you offer people food who have just burned 10,000 calories, they're likely to eat your arm off. :D

they're called haystacks, and they are better tasting than most energy bars. i used them for big kahuna with no problems, and I have to attribute my better than expected performance to them. have to say, my dad ( who is an avid x-country skiier, old-timer windsurfer ) did ok with this one.

you can order them online here:

this truly is a family venture. i used to work in this bakery, and the money I earned during summers paid for my first racing bikes. i'm excited to see my dad trying something new :)

take care and happy training!
