LBS or Dealer
Local. They'll appreciate the business and you'll have a resource for return visits. Win-Win. LBSs make the highest profit margin on service [citation needed] anyway, so don't feel sheepish about taking in a bike you did not buy there (I was detecting that vibe).
+1 LBS....I have plenty of aftermarket stuff on my bike not bought at the LBS....they still service it.
Just keep spinning....spinning, spinning....uh, do I know you?

I have no problem letting them service my bikes ( I have one there right now). I just don't know if I there are any issues with them setting up a tri bike if they don't do it regularly. Getting it dialed in shouldn't be too tricky, right ;) One of the dealers is FIST Certified, if that makes a difference.
If you are getting a fitting done on the bike, go to someone who knows tri bikes. Other than that, LBS.

Go to the tri specific shop, buy the bike, get fitted by them (given that they have a person who fits tri bikes, which they should), and then learn to service your own bike. It is easy and can be done with the help of a $25 tool kit.

So I bought a bike on ebay that should be on it way. I assume it will need some assembly/service when it gets here. I like my LBS, but they don't currently carry any tri bikes, and they are not a dealer (Felt). The two nearest Felt dealers are not really that far away (20 and 30 miles) and do carry tri bikes, but somewhat of a pain to get to. Plus from my few visits to them, they are a little more hardcore than my LBS.
Which route would you recommend I take for service on my new baby?
