If anyone out there is sitting on the fence about joining a Masters Swim Class. DO IT! I've been floundering up and down the pool for the last few months. I was very hesitant on joining partly because I'm not a morning person and partly because I didn't know what to expect. First Class was this morning!!!!!! I loved it- they had a newbie lane that I was almost too fast for. (I'm sure some Masters classes are too advanced for newbies (??) but mine was very accepting, Local Y) I'm embarassed to say but lately my swim workouts were good if I swam 500m total before packing it in to hit the treadmill or bike. I have gone longer but I lack the desire to play wall tag for more than 15-20min. Being in a lane with other swimmers with a structured workout is an awesome motivation. We did around 2000m (on a note, working out in the am as opposed to 8:30 pm, I was full of energy all day and had a very productive day) If you're thinking about joining a class or lack motivation, Join a Masters Class. Just my .02!!
