Why am I pounding my legs and body like this again. My buddies are yucking it up just doing long bike rides now that the weather has changed. I am forgoing the fun to put in the miles on the treadmill and trainer as I get more excercise time that way.

So is there a shot for this bug or am I stuck with it. I dream of tri's, I daydream of tri's, and I now postulate what races I am going to do and what races I am going to do in three years. I think I have a sickness.......

Guilty here too. I actually caught myself reasoning with a friend yesterday:

"I actually like doing the miles on the trainer because if I do 1 hours its like I did 1.5 outside... but then I actually go ahead do the 1.5 anyway - so I'm getting way more workout distances in shorter times.."

Then I realized OMG I've lost it! I actually want more of this pain... I'm also doing the HIT work trying to get fast before going long this season...

Someone needs to charge for a way to get over this...

We are insane - ain't it great?

Love the insanity! I rode outdoors yesterday for the first time (ironically had a brief twinge where I thought about my trainer...the simplicity of doing intervals indoors with no trucks spraying salty dust in my face, but it passed when I stood and cranked a climb), then ran with the running group in my town. After we were done, I left early to go to the pool...and they all stared at me. Love that there is more than just me out there! Happy madness!

I love the insanity too. My friends ask me what I've done for my wkout. I say I swam and ran in the early am and since it's such a beautiful day I can't resist a bike ride for fun (you hardcore guys know what that means, right?) ;)

I'm so happy i'm not alone. Though i overslept my swim this morning, there is still evening swim and tomorrow morning swim and right after work some extra light for a run, because of time change. And still need to get some core points...
Weather is warming up, sun is shining and even if it's 28F outside and its sunny - it means that soon, very soon i will start packing my transition bag and doing long rides outside and long swims in cold Michigan...
... and i will still ride on the trainer

I don't know... I might become a competitive movie watcher... I'm not getting much out of feeling good about life, racing/training hard, ya know... whatever. ;)

Once you're cured, you get fat, lazy, and die fast. Better to stay sick.

The tri sickness is definitely better than the cure :-)

Well glad to see there are others out there with me. I have an off day tomorrow and am dreading it. I think I might slip to the pool and just do 2k or so nice and slow.

That doesn't really count as a workout if there are no intervals involved does it?
