I'm considering buying this set from CTS for 150. It's 15 one hour workouts to complete over an 8 week period. It's supposed to improve your power output by 12% over those 8 weeks which seems like an impressive gain. Even if it doesn't give you those kinds of gains, it's still 15 different one hour workouts for about 10 bucks each (which you know is a good price if you have purchased any indoor cycling workouts recently). 8 weeks of new workouts would go a long way to preventing boredom during these next few winter months.

I was wondering if anyone has used these videos and what their thoughts were on them. I can't seem to find any user reviews online.

Thanks

I did the workouts, downloaded to iTunes. While I do not have a power meter, I can't say that I gained 12%, but I did improve. The workouts are designed for someone training with power, but I would not let that stop you. The first two workouts have you set power zones that relate to heart rate zones. It gives you about every type of workout you would need and, I think, in the right order. I am going to do workout 16 monday morning and will see if my heart rate zones increased. I think they will.

I did these workouts and not much more for 2 months and then went out and did a 56 mile time trial and was only a couple minutes off my 1/2 Iron PR, without working anywhere near as hard as I did in the race. I would reccommend it, in fact, I am going to restart the series next week in prep for Lone Star. 24%???????? Variety in training makes it worth the expense and you will see improvement. My $.02

Finishing the race is the only thing that validates the cause.
