Yes, if you have the appropriate base then youll be fine. My own thoughts being that they wouldnt publish a 26 week program if it wasnt proven to work, given the athlete that its geared towards anyways.

Yes and yes. Although I did tweak the plan to add more bike.

I used the 20+ week half ironman training plan from that same book and I was pleased with the results. I didn't follow everything exactly, but I stayed close to what was prescribed by the plan. I plan on following the ironman plan this year.

Has anyone used the 26 week plan for IM in the book "Training plans for Multisport Athletes?". Seems easy to follow. Will 26 weeks be enough if I already have a good base?
