What does the website say? I would check there. You may or may not have to "register" and rack your bike.

the site says"triathlete orientation" the day before from 4:30-5pm but i wasnt sure if thats a mandatory thing

Hmm, well I know they are required for an IM. I would email the RD and ask if the appropriate information isn't there. Then that will serve also as a hint for next year for them to include that info on their site. Usually all the info you need is out there.
Ok, so this is my first triathlon and I'm doin it out at Treasure Island in SF this weekend. I'm doing the SPRINT dist on Sunday and I was wondering if I need to show up Saturday afternoon to pick up any registration papers or to register before the race Sunday? Please help!!
