I was a swimmer in college and now after two summers of casually training for tri's by myself, I am getting bored. I need that motivation of training with others to get to that next level... Any suggestions of good groups in the area that meet more than once a week.

Yeah, it gets boring after a while, been there done that! It's always good to have a network of people to be able to train with.

Sorry, don't live in the area but you could just visit the tri club pages in the area and they might have a schedule posted or just email them. Usually they are pretty helpful. The season is about over for most so things seem to slow down a bit...

I see two in the area on TRImapper

I live in Denver and know that RMTC is very active and has a good group of people. They are also affiliated with Team In Training. Parker Tri Club is a newer group but I see a good contingent of them out at races. If you live closer to Parker you'd definitely find them to be more convenient. RMTC does a lot in central Denver (i.e swims and runs in and around the Wash Park/South High area).

I live in Denver, but don't participate on a team. As far as swimming goes, there is a masters team at University of Denver. One of my friends is the coach, so of course, she says it's great.

I live/work a lot closer to where RMTC does work outs, so I am definitely thinking about checking that club out. Thanks!

I have definitely considered the DU Masters team, the only problem is that I swam for DU in college so getting motivated to get my butt back to where I spent 4 years of my life (in the pool) might be a little hard :) And not to mention how cold that pool is.... :)
