Breakfast
PB&J is great, but I just don't do them for breakfast. I'm totally a pancake and eggs person. oatmeal is another winner. Anything with protein and carbohydrates, maybe some fruit.
Bagel with PB&J this morning. Hot tea. Other mornings it's eggs and toast. Hot tea. Once in awhile my sweetie makes killer pancakes!

egg whites, some yogurt with a lil nuts and fruit is a definite favorite.
oatmeal is always a winner with some PB and soymilk!
Well I eat two actually!
When I first get up its a banana then I go on my morning run.
When I get back then its a high fiber cereal or oatmeal or cream of wheat is my favorite.
Whole wheat blueberry pancakes, oats & protein, wheat english muffin w/ pb & honey, home made cinnamon toast crunch cereal (it takes prep time but so much better for you then the crap they sell in the store.)
Pop Tarts, untoasted, and diet Coke, at least 6 out of 7 days. (Just slightly OCD)

I just don't know what to say.

chocolate protein bar with a banana if i'm in a hurry. otherwise egg beaters with 2 pieces of toast with strawberry jelly.
tri sooner, you are an animal.
Toothpaste and shaving cream.
Actually its usually a PB&J (just can't kick the habit), Kashi waffles with PB or bagle with PB. I then have oatmeal, fruit and yogurt once I get to work after the morning swim.
I'm always in a rush to get out the door so it has to be something simple, wish I could get more eggs and waffles in there. Did find a great breakfast at a local cafe. It's a whole wheat tortilla shells, refried and black beans spread acrossed it, 2-3 eggs over easy on there next, top it off with some salsa (any flavor) and a little sour cream...hits the spot.
If i have time its usually Granola, Banana, Toast, Kiwi, Banana, anything else I can get my hands on
Occasionally i'll do eggs with cheese in them (yum)
If i'm in a rush just a slim fast breakfast or something similar as long as there is no high fructose corn syrup is in it :::::off topic warning::::: i hate the new adds they are running on TV, healthy and all natural my butt! They are just starting to feel the hurt of enough people going huh this is just junk maybe I shouldn't be eating this hmm.... :::::off topic rant over::::::

I was thinking the same thing ;-P
Nothing to it, but to do it
Anyway,
Most days I wake up and have a 12 oz glass of water,
then I have a 12 oz glass of milk and a banana.
I drink a bottle of water, and occasionally a coffee on my way to work.
I get to work, settle in and have a yogurt, and oatmeal with cinnamon, honey, ground flaxseed and wheat germ.
About an hour after that I conclude my breakfast with an apple or grapes.
On the weekend I usually do the same but I sometime make pancakes or waffles for the kids.
Not quite OCD, it is more like a habit now. ;-)

Today was oatmeal with a touch of sugar and lots of raisens. If its not that its a begal with PB and banana on it. If Im feeling really ambitous Ill dice up some fruit and make pancakes or put the blender at the bottom of the fridge on the floor and just start dumping things in.
I have to grab breakfast on the way into work, so I usually pick up a small breakfast burrito at the local cafe. Not very healthy but there are a ton of good breakfast burritos here in Denver.
Cooking and cleaning dishes is too time consuming for me for breakfast - I don't know how the rest of you do it. I rarely even find the time to get in a workout before work.

It is all about time management, a little sleep deprivation, and some coffee ;-)

During the week plain ole shredded wheat with vanilla soymilk and spoonful of
applebutter heated in the micro mmm good!Weekends i usually will have
an egg mcmuffin or i Will make a breakfast wrap eggs, veggie sausage &
provolone cheese yummy! Strong black coffee! Yuban is the best!
cold cereal (like generic corn chex or froot loops ;) is my usual, but oatmeal is finding its place there now too.
Multi-grain cheerios with no milk. 2 cups of coffee. Workout. Water, pb&j sandwich on wheat, and 2 untoasted blueberry pop-tarts. 7 out of 7 days. Not sick of it in the least.

strawberries, bananas chopped up in yogurt; lg cup hot chocolate made w/ skim milk, cup of coffee; I get very cranky if I can't have those things for BF- now, with no power, no strawberries, souring yogurt and milk, and no hot nuthin'...:(damn ike!
A piece of whole-grain, double fiber toast spread with natural PB & a little honey drizzled over, a Weight Watchers yogurt with 1tsp of ground flaxseed and 2tsp of Kashi 7-Grain Nuggets cereal mixed into the yogurt, and 12 (yes, I count them) bite-size frosted Mini Wheats...7 out of 7 days a week. Sometimes (on cold mornings) I'll substitute the toast with a bowl of oatmeal.

Depending on the day...if is a hard day or not in matters of training, I go with oatmeal with a banana...love that stuff...I go with scrambled eggs (2 whites, 1 whole, plus some onions, peppers and every now and then a lean meat in pieces (turkey or chicken), multigrain toast...and on a long run or ride day...blueberry wheat pancakes.
Always lots of liquid with any of those combinations.
If I am in a really hurry and I just had time to go training, shower and go to work....I blend...two bananas, two eggs whites, a hand full of berries, 2 1/4 of soy milk, half a cup of yougurt and 3/4 of a scoop of Gatorade powder....all in a nice portable bottle...and for the road on my way to work.
For me, the most important meal of my day...the one that I love the most, and I never, ever skip is my breakfast. :-)

I've got just a little bit of free time at work today ;-)
I eat home made cereal just about every day. Here is the recipe - its the shizzle!
2 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (about 1/2 pound)
1/2 cup wheat-bran cereal
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup blanched whole or slivered almonds
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup buckwheat honey
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup seedless raisins and/or cranberry
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Combine oats, bran, wheat germ, almonds, and cinnamon in a bowl. Heat the honey and oil in a saucepan until small bubbles appear around the sides of the pan. Pour over dry mixture and toss until well combined.
Spread evenly in a foil-lined shallow baking pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool and then add raisins and cranberries. Store in an air-tight container.
Pain is the sensation of weakness leaving the body!
I am weird and go through phases...I'll go weeks eating special K, then get sick of it and start eating a bagel w/ cream cheese...then get sick of that and start eating yogurt and fruit....and then switch to oatmeal.....it is kind of an ongoing cycle I have, and I tend to come back to the same foods every few months. Strange, but works for me.
Cold cereal throughout most of the year. I usually go with a large bowl of 1/2 Fiber One Caramel crunch and 1/2 Honey Bunches of Oats w/ Almonds (w/skim milk). Add a cup of coffee and I'm good to go. I also take a thermos of coffee to work with me.
In the winter I'll throw in some oatmeal days to really warm me up, but it's pretty rare
I always eat a couple slices of cantaloupe and watermelon and have a hard-boiled egg before I leave the house in the morning. When I get to work I have my routine and eat yogurt, then oatmeal w/ raisins and walnuts, and then have a banana. I spread these out and eat each "meal" about 30 minutes apart. Then it's time for lunch #1.
My breakfast for long early morning workouts is a high calorie meal replacement drink. Depending on the duration of the workout I'll have one or 2. Each drink has 350 calories. Before races and long workouts I go all liquid.

The best of the best has long been oatmeal. On an 11,000 mile bike tour, I ate breakfast burritos comprised of: flour tortilla, peanut butter, banana slices, and honey.

Hello all, I was wondering what you have for breakfast on a day to day basis. I usually go with a PB&J. Just wondering what other people ate, Thanks
