I love to listen to music when I'm running-- any suggestions on earbuds? I need a new pair (my Bose earbuds are busted). Thanks!

B&O headphones worked for me. I had plenty of other cheap ones that I had to replace. Some only after few weeks of use. Sweat and wire twisting is a problem. With the B&O I did not have this problem and I have a pair for over a year now. Expensive, yeah but last a long time. I only use them on the bike trainer or on the runs on treadmill or outside where I know the roads.

... just ride/run/hell even swim laps around live concerts and you won't have to worry about head phones! What I can't figure out is how to get my shirt to stop pulling the wire down when I run. I think putting the ear buds back in every 1/2 mile is just the price I will have to pay.

No...earbuds suck. Get the Sony wraparound ones we talk about in the post referenced above by Chunky. Mine are going on 2 years of use & they're like 20 bucks. Don't spend big bucks on headphones you're going to sweat all over.

I just use some like this http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-J10-Headphones-Non-Slip-Blue/dp/B00005V8G..., they seem to work fine and haven't crapped out after several very wet sessions ( I sweat like a pig all the time).

I use just the ones that came with my ipod however i find on really hot days when I sweat a lot the sweat leaks into my ear behind the speaker and blocks a lot of the sound. I still like them though!

+1 on the sony wraparounds. Only complaint is they give you like 8 ft of cord so if you get stuck somewhere with them you can repel yourself to safety but in the mean time you have too much cord to deal with.

Yeah, no doubt. I run the cord down my back, under my shirt, and tuck the excess into my shorts. Works OK.

Don't use the ipod earbuds!! There is on-going litigation regarding whether they cause hearing loss because they're so poorly designed.

So I really wanted earbuds but everyone's voting for the wraparounds... so I have been trying the sony wraparounds and they really hurt the top of my ears-- is that normal? Will my ears get used to it after a while and I should just hang in there?

(PS: the ipod shuffle has a clip to attach to shorts or whatever, so one can clip any extra cord that way.)

After years of trial and error I have found a great solution to most of the earbud issues. The Sony MDR-EX75/WH has a 2 foot cord that plugs into an extension, I just don't use the extension and my Ipod is strapped to my arm so there is almost no extra cord to flap around. The second part is I attach one of those alligator clips that come with every cell phone earplug to the short end of the cord so I can clip it to my shirt collar-presto no movement and the buds don't pull and pop out. They also come with three different bud sizes so you can get a good fit.

Now if they could only solve the sweat issue.....
