Just tell people you're a drinker with a triathlon problem. Cheers! I'm superstitoiuos enough that if I had that experience I would replicate it (granted, on a smaller scale) for the next race. Maybe just one shot.

I would never have done the tri; but since I pushed this kid into doing it I said I would. Plus he didn't finish the swim so the officals let him do the bike after not finishing the swim after 9 mins. So when I got back to my bike I saw his bike missing with his wetsuit there and I said "what the hell, I can't believe he beat me on the swim I have to catch him on the bike"...lol not know at that time he didn't finish the swim.
My best friends wedding was the day before a Sprint Tri in Salem, MA that I pushed a friend into doing for his 1st (ocean Swim); and I forget this tri was going to be the day after my friends wedding. The wedding was unreal friends from all over came out; Drinks that I consumed: 5 beers, 4 vodka and soda's and 2 shots of Patron (stupid I know) and I didn't get home until 1:30 am. The gun was going to go off at 7 am; I woke up at 5 am dead to the world, took a shower and did a few yoga stretches. Got to Salem just in time and well.....it was offically the best Sprint time to date for me...lol
Swim: 14:31, Bike 32:42, Run 22:35, Overall time 1:14:12... I finished 50th overall from 300 people. Too funny
