Vermont 100K
WOW! I'm always amazed with the ultrarunners. I don't care what anyone says; running, particularly loooooooong running, is the hardest thing anyone can do. It's in them long hours between high-ups and low-lows that you are forced to confront your soul. Though ironman is insane and challenges you from 3 different directions, it's really not a comparison.
I'll be looking forward to your write up!
Weary is the path that does not challenge.
WILL be thinking of you on Saturday...all the best. Trust in yourself. Focus on the fun...
Temps up there look good.

I am inspired my ultra runners, that's a long freaking time to be running. Good luck and I'll send some extra energy your way.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....you will be amazing. You have all our strength and encouragement behind you!

Wow, 100k is impressive. Best of luck.
Awesome. The best of luck. I hope you're taking a week off of work for the waddle around period after that. Kidding kinda. Have fun and stay hydrated/ electrolit(?).
Good Luck! cannot wait for the report.

I think she's on vacation this week with her husband, probably sans internet. BUT....if I read the results right, she came in first in her AG with a time of 18:44:02, for an 11:14m/mi pace. Go Andrea!!!

Wow... looking at the results I think I need to drink more of that Toronto water when I'm up there this year! 3 in the top 5 from there... and just imaging running 7min miles for 11 HOURS 48 MINUTES!!! Yeah, I can't either :)

OK I was reading it a bit wrong... that list has all the 100k and 100 mile folks in it -- I think the K and M that start their class designations indicate which race, and their paces are done per K if in the 100k and mile if in the 100mile. And I'm going to guess the 7min pace guy was doing 7min/km, or 11:23min/mi pace. And Andrea seems to have gone an 18:05min/mi pace. But don't get me wrong -- that is still awesome and incredible and amazing! Those races are not only crazy long, but crazy terrain! Congrats again Star, and everyone else who raced!!

Kylie might be right on the math -- but she's the one marrying a Canadian, so that metric stuff is easier for her. :-) Either way, Andrea clearly got her Trifuel name because she is a ROCK STAR!!!

Well, we're flying up to Vermont today for the 100K (and 100 Mile for my friends). I'm getting anxious thinking of the pain that I'm about to inflict on myself! I hope the weather holds out and we have some cooler temps than what we've been training in here in Florida....surely. If you have some spare energy on Saturday, sent it over to Vermont, 'cause I'm sure I'm going to need it!
Thanks for your encouraging words, widsom and humor...I truly appreciate it! I'll write a report when we return.....-Andrea
