No, you can't sell spaces, especially for Spudman. This year was kind of crazy. I actually was able to register, but the 1600+ spots filled up in about 10 minutes, so they're pretty much not bending the rules for anyone on anything because there are so many people who wanted to get in who couldn't (Cap'n Mal and Mrs. Mal).
I think most triathlons are pretty strict about stuff like this, but I think your chances are worse with Spudman in particular.

If it's that popular, contact the RD and see if you can get a refund. If they can replace you easily, maybe they'll do it. Worth a try...
Can you sell spaces in triathlons? We have 2 team that are not going to be able to make it. I haven't done the spudman for three years and I don't know how sticky they are about these things. I started doing it before all these rules I keep hearing about. Anyway, if anyone is interested tell me your thoughts.
