Event Search Engine
Active used to be better.
I don't like the search set up or the fees so I try not to use them so much.
In the NJ-NY area I use metro race forum - raceforum.com
Also I will look up a race and see who it is run by and then google them.
Then I check out the events they do.
It gets you around active.com

I use trifind.com, it has a state search on the side and sorts them by date then gives Race Name, Location, and Distances with a link to the direct race website. Good Luck...
I'm looking for a comprehensive search engine for events in the US. Active.com should be killer due to the outrageous fees they charge (as well as the insane amount of events in their database), but everything about their site sucks, and they're the devil, IMO.I've google'd the subject with different terms, but haven't found any kind of definitive online resource. Help please!
fixed it for you
Honestly, active.com sucks so bad for so many reasons.
But I've wondered the same thing many times. Sometimes I'll hear about an event and it takes me 10 minutes to find anything about it online.

Dang, www.trisearch.com is already taken. I would have made millions.

Not sure what you are looking for, a triathlon finder or an online registration site?
TRImapper.com is a triathlon finder site and has more than just the US. The site currently uses filters to narrow down the options on the map for you and links you to the race website.
When I'm not training I'm working on enhancements. One of the things was to add a search option to the site which currently has around 1,500 triathlons around the world listed. Unfortunately it's prime racing time here so my time has been limited as of late, I only get a few hours in a week versus several. I will work on this and post a message when it's complete.

+1 TriFind, not a search engine, and ugly as hell (the 90s called, they want their frames back), but it works.
chunk - ActiveSucks.com isn't taken.

Hey... I think the frames are great. They let ME decide how big the left hand menu is. And 2 scrollbars. As we all know, 2>1. Whoever invented "noresize" obviously didn't believe in Democracy.
Sweet. Great sites. Keep 'em coming.

+10 for trifind.com
