Memphis in May
I am going to be there with a friend of mine. He is doing the mountain tri on saturday and the road tri on sunday. I am just sticking with Sunday so I do not hurt myself!!! Not sure about the course though.. sorry :-(
Yep, I've done it a few times and doing it again this year. Great race!! Bike is very flat and fast. If you're a strong, fast biker, you'll love this course. One real hill about 1/2 mile into the bike that's about 1/8 mile long. That's about it. I definitely wouldn't call this course rolling. The run is definitely slightly rolling to rolling. It's one of those courses that seems to me to be uphill both ways, if that makes any sense. Especially since you have a tendency to really push yourself on the flat bike. Great support at the aid stations throughout. One on the bike at about mile 15, and about every mile of the run. And a great post race party with Memphis BBQ and beer, entertainment, etc. Great for the families with kids too. In the past, there's been a lot of the top pros here for the race. Macca won it last year, Andy Potts two years before that. And Desiree Ficker was here a few years back if I remember correctly. I'll probably be racing with my Trifuel swag on, albeit slowly. Only really been training for about a month now after some 5-6 months rest following IMKY. I've just always pushed the bike too hard for my running abilities on this course. We'll talk later on closer to the race. Good luck and any more questions just ask.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Memphis in May course. There website does a pretty decent job but being that the race is in TN and I live in Michigan just wondering if a 'slightly rolling' run means the same as it does here, or a 'flat' bike course means the same. Also, I think were up to 3-4 Trifuelers heading to the fastival, where you at?! I just like to know the course before I get there, as most of us pry do....Thanks.
