Just a heads up that the encore is tonight. It is playing about 2 miles form my house. I will be checking it out tonight.

It is a great movie. Be sure you have a run scheduled tomorrow though :)

Help me raise money for the LAF by donating anything that you can. Thank you so much!

Got my ticket reserved--wearing my spandex running tights just in case I get the urge to run home afterwards.

2 runs scheduled on Friday. Speedwork before the movie.

What do you eat at the movie theater for a Marathon Movie? Powerbars? Clif shots? Do they serve Gatorade at the concession stands?

Is it socially acceptable to wear anti-chaffing nipple tape to the movie to make it a more engrossing experience? :)

I think they might actually kick you out if you don't wear it. Probably for insurance reasons.

You will definitely want to run home afterwards... in a good way. As far as what to eat.... get some popcorn, no butter. Live a little.

Unfortunately, I don't like popcorn. May take some granola bars. Living on the edge tonight.

I actually heard the theaters would have buttered popcorn flavored gu packs. I don't know if there is any validity to this rumor.

Excellent movie. Really enjoyed the way they tried to hit some of the different levels of competitors. It seemed they tried to do justice to them all. Mammoth Lakes, where Deena Kastor lives, is absolutely beautiful. There were about 50-60 people in the theater and they were, by far, the most polite movie audience I have ever witnessed. I declined snacks at the theater in favor of a non-fat cheese and wheat bread sandwich beforehand. Being on a no snack diet stinks.

A pretty good movie. They did a good job of keeping it high-level so the non-runners didn't get lost or bored. I would have liked to see them dive deep into the training experience. Go through the ups and downs, the physical and mental tolls of long runs, and taper madness. But the general public probably would lose interest.

He was not a happy guy. His wife didn't get much attentionfrom the filmmakers. She looked like she was faster than all the other average runners they featured. I want to know how he eventually qualified for Boston. How about the look his wife gave him when he said the qualifying standards for Boston were set to enable women and older men to get in. Priceless.

Wasn't going to bring it up, but they could have easily edited out, "oh I missed Boston by 2 seconds" guy, tool indeed, and spent a little more on Deena or some of the other runners.

funny enough, my dad who is a runner did some research on boston guy. He never qualified for boston! he bought himself in on a charity spot.

GFD this just struck me, did you go to the Regal Cinema in nazareth? were you the guy in the chessieman sweatshirt?
