Depends which Disney. I do the Disneyland half Marathon each year. Disney knows how to organize and I enjoy the experience of running through the park and Angels Stadium. There has been talk of a Tri at Disneyland after the success of the half but nothing yet.

I was intending to but signed tried to sign up for the to late. Maybe next year. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Sorry I missed the meetup. Your weekend had to be better than mine. I felt "off" on Friday afternoon, and then shaky with a bad headache on Saturday morning. If I had felt that bad pre-race out of the blue, I wouldn't have even started, but I had been fighting a lingering cold & just thought this was the tail end of it. I was wrong. I had the most unpleasant race of my life during the 1/2--barely holding my stomach together for the first 9 miles at a snails pace, then walking it in for the last 4 miles in something like 2:55. The GI trouble hit later that morning and I couldn't eat all day and was up most of the night sick. Doing the marathon Sunday was out of the question. As of Tuesday my stomach is still bad & I haven't eaten much at all. My guess is some sort of flu or food poisoning, but I'm going to the doc tomorrow in any case.

I was bummed about not finishing the full Goofy. It's my first DNF/DNS of any sort in the 6 or so years since I started running & tri. I'm at peace with it now, though. The decision not to start the second day was easy given that I couldn't be away from a bathroom for more than 10 minutes and was totally unable to hydrate. There will always be another year.

I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience...but that happens. I always tell folks that leading up to race day don't eat anything that's not normal for you...I usually eat bland stuff for several days before and day of. There will be other years...but if it's next year, sign up now! Goofy fills at 3,000. The wife feels we should go again so I can streak Goofy...bless her. I'm in.
I had two good days despite what I thought were muggy and warm conditions on Sunday.
Will write up a blog about tomorrow or tonight and post it.
