This is the place where the continents collided, Vikings discovered a new land, the sun rises first on North America, and the people share an unassuming love for life like no where else! Newfoundland has an international reputation for an amazing triathlon experience and the inaugural edition of the Newfoundland Ironman 70.3 will live up to your expectations.

The event is supported by knowledgeable volunteers, cooperative communities, and an enjoyable course. Race day begins with a swim in the expansive fresh water of Deer Lake. The 3-point swim course will be a moving start to your day in the Humber Valley region. No need to worry about swimming in Canada as the water temperature in July averages 19 degrees Celsius.

The 70.3 bike course meanders through the Humber Valley shouldered by forested mountains and the Humber River. The 2-loop bike course stretches to Corner Brook and the Bay of Islands before returning to the transition area at Pasadena Beach. The final stage of the journey features an inspiring lakeside run with a combination of gravel and asphalt surfaces.
